Purely off the record, Nephele is really beginning to look up to Pepper. She was suspicious at first, as she is of everyone she's worked for, and very cautious about the possibility of revealing too many Allomantic-secrets. But, hell, the woman works with/against vampires, so that's less of a concern now. She appreciates that Pepper recognizes and values her abilities, that her age has never been an issue, and is just as happy to have a job where people won't actually be shooting to kill. She's very impressed with Pepper's business acumen and people skills, especially since her employees seem to actually know her. While she might not know that Pepper was a thief herself, Neph is beginning to guess at it, which makes her a once-colleague who went on to do damn well for herself. That's very encouraging!
