Neph will likely find Anika to be fun to be around, especially once she learns the trick to her quieter sense of humor. Ani is the second touch-oriented mutant Neph has met, which fascinates her...but she's wary of the gift itself, much as she is Anya's power-negating ability. That kind of crazy tracking ability is one of her worst nightmares. On a purely meta note, it might be interesting to see if she can block it with Copper...
Better watch out, as Neph thinks Han's crush on Anika is ADORABLE and will aid-and-abet at every opportunity. Whether Han likes it or not.

And yes, they haven't met canonically on TN yet; however, there is that wedding cake thread on Oni's LJ, and the OTHER thread they are in together, which shall remain nameless. Can that be used, as a basis to presume that they now know each other?

I think they should try it, and most likely it will scatter Anika's abilities so that she can't pinpoint Neph any more, but will give her a general range perhaps? ("She's in Russia. Russia? Oh, they totally do ^^ I would just love to get to do an introduction, at some point. But sometimes RP moves along at such speeds that certain things have to be left inferred.
*nods* That's what I was thinking. Copper and Bronze are her two best skills, but they're more of a general magic seeking/blocking, so I wouldn't think they'd be 100% effective against Anika's metaphysical nose. ("Russia is a very large country, Ani!" "I KNOW.")
