Turn down the saturation levels on your monitors, people

Allomancy is not a visible magic to onlookers.  Neph's been trained since Day One to avoid sweeping gestures and little tics alike.  Still, from where she stands, everything she can Pull or Push lights up with a blue leyline, and that mental image somehow led to...something completely unlike Allomancy at work.  I don't know.  You'll never see anything unusual about her eyes, is what I'm saying, though she does flail a lot.  It's a wonder she doesn't smack more bystanders upside the head, that way.

...aaaaand I just realized that I painted right over her eyebrow-scar.  Dammit.  I don't care, I kind of love how this worked out anyway.  Hair is my favorite thing to line-art (which is a verb, by the way) and hers is so floofy!

Thank you thank you! Now that that's out of my brain, I can move on to OTHER things Neph wants to do.

Well, the universe I took her from recently coughed up a couple more Allomantic metals, which I'd like to introduce to her storyline. Phil needs to get up off his butt and email her about the Plot Device For Great Justice, and a certain someone may have mentioned Rome...

The turquoise...it burns. But art is epic.

It does. I don't know why, but she's always been partial to this color. I have umpty-billion digidoodles of her in it! And, come to think of it, it may be even more obnoxious on someone else's screen settings...

Which maybe explains her partiality to it; it's not Neph if it isn't somehow aggravating.

At least it wakes you up? And makes the eyes spasm, but at least it's not completely fluorescent. And Neph does like to make certain impressions on people.

I was going for sort of a pop art feel, so eye-spasms are just what I want to hear ^_^

It's true. She's figured out that she can't help but attract attention, what with the hair, so she's built up this persona that throws off any suspicion by being so...counter-suspicious.

She's very...not scary/suspicious, so it does work for her.

Also...I have an odd love for the thumbnail detail.

Thank you! I was pretty pleased with how the foreshortening worked out!

It's the fact that it captures how the light would fall rather than how people think it looks in their head that gets me. I blame my drawing proff...and you're making me want to know where the heck my stylus is. My croc needs a picture of her dragon form...

Even more thanks for that, as I've been putting a good bit of work into getting those kinds of planes down pat! I once knew a girl who could render an image like a topographic map. They were awesome.

Best of luck! I hope her sourcebook provides you with some guidelines. Dragons are almost like vampires in that they're so customizable.

I know it's something I'm still working on and am not so awesome in line art, so it's definitely appreciated. Of course...I'm more focused on how to use color to make diminson because I'm a color whore. In case you didn't notice by my winter queen's rainbow icons.

It's not so awesome that way, sadly, because, well, depending on which attributes you pick it can look like a humanoid lizard person, a dinosaur, a dragon, or something that makes my head hurt. Fortunately I put her and her clutchmate's identies together with an image in mind.

Knowing eyebrow is knowing! :P Of course I added it, she wears it all the time and from a snooty, artsier perspective, it adds a lot to the movement of the composition.

I'm answering this from the Spazz's computer, and it's even MORE blue here. Goddamn individual screen calibration!
