I don't know, there are several (sometimes conflicting) vampire mythos at work here, and we make them work. I don't think it's fair to discount a Marvel version just because there are more true-to-life Norse gods running around. You and Iduna could pretend he was an Ultimates type of Thor, maybe: a crazy dude with a mutation that granted him Thor-like powers! But that's all speculative still. Hopefully it won't happen...hopefully the movie won't be total suck. I liked Kirk's-Daddy well enough for the role.
