I found this fic while digging through a secondary flashdrive.  The file is dated July of 2010, so it's...well, it might even be a stretch to call it 'backdated' at this point.  Stiil, it is kind of relevant, since it was written after Neph's first brush with Sylar to help provide A) a plot-based reason for Neph to brush up on what few hand-to-hand skills she has and B) an explanation for how she learned the basics.  I think I set it aside because it was about to devolve into a silly training montage and I couldn't think of any reasonable way to end the rambling.  So it just sort of...stops.  But, you know, it's not too badly written, so it ought to go up somewhere.

The flashback portion directly follows this previous bit.  Assorted characters used/name-dropped without permission. *cough*

Does anyone else find it creepy that, in the first scene of Pirates of the Caribbean, Norrington is a grownass man and Captain of a ship already and Elizabeth is, like, twelve years old? 

Because I do.
